Hamilton: God has called us to be ambassadors even in this dark moment
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Darkness is not an affirmative force. It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light. This is the, Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio. It should be uncomfortable for a believer to live as a hypocrite, delivering people out of the bondage of mainstream media and the philosophies of this world. God has called you and me to be his ambassadors, even in this dark moment. Let's not miss our moment.

The opportunity to execute the Great Commission starts in our homes, Pastor says
At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income, to your full time jobs so where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family and allowing that to govern, guide and guard your engagement in your families and in your homes. I will say, and I will continue to say, as important as Pennsylvania Avenue, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is, or Mar a lago from time to time, it is not more important. The things that go on there are not more important than what goes on in your home, in your homes and in my home, simply because you and I are directly responsible and accountable for what transpires within our jurisdiction. There are things that happen in other places that we cannot directly impact or control, but we can directly impact what happens in our homes. And it's vitally important, vitally important that we understand that. That we understand that the opportunity to execute the Great Commission starts in our homes. Darkness is not an affirmative force. It's not, but it merely reoccupies the space that is vacated by the light. So we need to be salt and light.
There are forces trying to demoralize people of God in our country
And I'm going to talk a little bit about this today because God's word is true and remains true no matter what it looks like on the surface. There are, forces that want to demoralize you and demoralize the people of God in our country and to get us to become listful and hopeless and allow that listfulness and that hopelessness to kind of burgeon into a neglect to where we kind of shrug our shoulders and, you know, you know, it's not going to make a difference anyway. I just want to tell you guys, that's a flat lie. That is a flat lie. We have the capacity to be and to do everything God has called his people to do. And our method of assessment, however, our method of assessment is not the world's method of assessment. You know, the founder of American Family Radio and American Family Association, Don Wildmon, would say, that the responsibility of God's people is to be faithful. That that is our responsibility to be faithful. But we need to be honest with ourselves as to whether or not we are being faithful and trust God with the results of that faithfulness. We don't stick our heads in the sand like ostriches. We don't. We don't, become, conveniently ignorant as to what's happening all around us. No, no, no, no. We understand. Faith doesn't deny reality. It persists in light of reality. And God's word is true.
James, chapter four, verses 6 and 7 is where we begin today
Let's turn to it right now. James, chapter four. James, chapter four, verses six and seven is where we're going to go today. John. I'm sorry. James, chapter four, verses six and seven is where we're going to go to begin this program today. Verse 6. But he, referring to God, gives greater grace. That's Maison kairos, the Greek word. The Greek phrasing there, Maison kairos. Therefore it says, God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. I'll read that again in verse 7. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will not. May notice that the text says he will flee from you. The apostle James is explaining here that God is the one who provides Maison kairos. And I know how some people describe grace, but the reality is the Greek word for grace is karus. it is God's empowerment, God's ability, God's capacity that he operates through us. All right? But it's noteworthy to recognize that God opposes the proud. This is why I say oftentimes there are a lot of things a person can afford, but you cannot afford to have God opposed to you. The clear biblical communication to us is that if you are a prideful person, that you are placing yourself contrary, wise against God. But God gives grace to the humble. As verse 7 says, Submit therefore to God. And there are lots of people that want to speed by and get to that second half of verse seven, but you cannot speed by it. Submit therefore to God. Before we get to the second half of verse seven, submission to God is absolutely necessary.
James says we are called to resist the devil. We derive our English word antihistamine from
Then you have the additional component, resist the devil. The Greek word there for resist is antis, antistomy. And this to me, which is where we get. We derive our English word antihistamine from all right, And a histamine is what the scripture is saying, antihistamine, the devil. And the tense of the communication here is that it is a continual resistance. It's a continual resistance. Just as God sets himself and opposes the proud. As God's people submit to him. We are called to antistomy, to antihistamine, the devil. And, I want to explain it in that way first and foremost, because that's what the text says. And then many of us are familiar with how we use antihistamines in our society and how they help us to resist. You know, allergy, seasons, as the season changes and things of that nature. Well, the Lord calls his people to antistomy, the devil. Now, what's not obvious is that this resistance, it doesn't say that resist him and gives you a time you as to when and where and how the devil flees. But what is communicated is that the flight is in his is. Is a, guaranteed phenomenon. But we can't speed by the prescription that God gives us. We can't get to, well, yeah, you know, I'm resisting the devil. Well, how are you resisting the devil? On my own terms. I'm resisting the devil, but I'm not reading my Bible. I'm resisting the devil. I'm resisting the devil, but I'm not praying. I'm resisting the devil. And what invariably occurs, and this is why the Lord reminds us through people like the apostle Paul, That the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, mighty. And the might is not a humanistic might, that they're mighty through God. So there is a divine capacity, a divine capacity that is available to us, but we have to employ it. We have to employ God's ways. We cannot circumvent God's ways and yet enjoy God's results. So if we're going to be effective in our. And this to me, that effectiveness will be directly related to the quality with which we submit ourselves to the Lord and that submission in the entirety. Entirety. When you see verse seven, submit therefore to God. You guys know, when you see it, therefore, you want to ask us, ask, what is it? Therefore, everything that transpires in James's epistle prior to this. This verse is what is being communicated here. So as we employ God's mechanism, guys, this is an assurity. But there are certain stratagems that are employed to try to get us to become despondent, to become listful. what's the, what's. What's the use? It's going to happen. What's going to happen is going to happen anyway. I simply want to remind you that God's word is true. God's word is true. Remember when the Father brought his son and he was trying to get to Jesus, but he initially ended up with Jesus's disciples. And the scripture says that the boy was demon possessed. And the disciples at that juncture were unable to do anything with the Son. Then the Father brought him to Jesus. And remember what happened. Jesus cast the demon out of the Son. But if you remember, the Bible says that the demon convulsed the Son before coming out. And that convulsion had such a violent display, such a dramatic display, that all of the people there except Jesus thought the boy was dead. Remember that in the scripture, they thought he was dead. And then Jesus walks over and stands him up on his feet. Why am I sharing that? Jesus had no question to his potency. He had no question to the effectiveness of what he had just done in the boy's life. But the external appearance temporarily seemed to contradict the truth of what had transpired. You often hear me say on this show, we can if we will, because once again, God's word is true. Much of what is transpiring around us is not that it's beyond our capacity to respond, but sometimes we get tempted to want to respond to things using carnal means. We have to be mindful that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they're divinely powerful to the destruction of strongholds. And the apostle James is saying a similar thing in different words, but helping us to understand what must transpire in order for that effectiveness to be displayed in our lives. We, as the people of God, must never forget. But God gives more grace. Maison Kairos God is opposed to the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. Because God gives grace to the humble. We submit ourselves to the Creator and sustainer of heaven and earth. And in submission to God, we antistomy, the devil. And the result of that investment, the result of that commitment, the result of that resolution is that the devil will flee. The devil will flee. But the submission to God must be the currency, if you will, of the fully persuaded. The submission must be the resolve of the fully persuaded. And as we are fully persuaded, we recognize this as the apostle Peter, you know, do you want to leave too? Peter's response, where am I going with you? Are the other words of eternal life that we have to have a similar resolve. And as a result of having that fully vested submission, we stand against the wiles of the enemy. We call sin sin. We speak the truth in love, but we stand flat footed 10 toes down the truth of who God is. And we resist the devil. He has no option but to flee. This is a part of our heritage in the Christ that we serve. A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
What exactly does the Bible say about life and the abortion issue
What exactly does the Bible say about life? Standing for life and the abortion issue? Deuteronomy, chapter 30, verses 19 and 20. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life that you and your offspring may live loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him. For he is your life and length of days that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob to give them. Proverbs 24:12 tells us, Rescue those who are being taken away to death. Hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, behold, we did not know this. Does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it? And will he not repay man according to his work, Shining light into the darkness. Fury: God by his sovereign grace helped bring Charlie Kirk to prominence
All right. I want to take a few moments now just to kind of zoom out from what's been happening in our country and really around the world. As you know, Operation Epic Furious continuing in Iran. you have the selection of a new ayatollah, but President Trump is saying that according to reports, he's severely injured, if not, also deceased. they haven't confirmed that yet. but I want to just discuss some of the things that's been happening domestically. Many of you will recall, following the heinous assassination, of Charlie Kirk before the entire world, because we all were able to see what happened on video. In contrary to certain psychos suggesting that Charlie Kirk's wife has something to do with that. one of the things that God by his sovereign grace did. There was, quite a trajectory in Charlie Kirk's life and the turning point USA organization, to where he started in one space that was pretty exclusively, political. And then he, in his own words, he explained he thought that kind of a libertarian economics would be what needed to happen. And then as he studied that and involved himself there, realized, no, there's something deeper. he began to delve into broader worldview conversations. And he said, these things are important, but there's something deeper. And then it came to the place to where he began to boldly proclaim his faith, proclaim the gospel. Even when he was asked what did he want to be remembered for? And his response was, I want to be remembered for courage, for my faith. the arc of his witness grew consistently towards a more robust gospel presentation. You know, and, a lot of his communications about family and encouraging young men to get married and, and things of that nature followed that representation. And then, regardless of, some of the individual consternations or whatever, at his funeral, you had the gospel proclaimed to hundreds of millions of people all over the world. And then following that, following that, there was a almost immediate pivot to kind of encroach upon the elevation of Jesus the Messiah to these kind of internecine squabbles, you know, that dumb down the attentive focus away from the gospel to parochial political concerns and a lot of the gospel momentum that was prevalent. And I mean, many of you read and heard just like I did, scores of people who had never been to church or hadn't been to church in years, and now they're returning to church and all of these things that are happening. And I just want to remind you that it was God's divine providence that set the course for the gospel to take center stage as it had. And I want to tell you that God still rules and reigns in the affairs of men. I hope all of you listened to the program that we did Friday. just sharing the entire impromptu extemporaneous speech that Benjamin Franklin gave on the floor of the Constitutional Convention. when he talked about the contrast between the founders dependence and reliance upon the Lord during the American Revolutionary War because they were in immediate danger, and now that they were, had some modicum of, some level of peace, he basically chastised them. Have we forgotten, you know, our faithful providential friend, you know, who. All of you, he would say that all of you who were involved in that struggle, talking about the American Revolution, you recognized that, how certain things would transpire that would only happen because of divine providence. There's no way these things could have happened on their own. But now we've gotten to the place to where it seems like as if we don't need him. And then he makes the statement that resonates with me deeply. If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his knowledge, how then can an empire rise without his aid? I want in these few minutes to simply remind you of what Benjamin Franklin said and what echoes the scripture, that God rules and reigns in the affairs of men. And there are many people right now, you kind of, feeling adrift. It's like, man, what is going on here? Like what, what is happening? I want to remind you that God rules and reigns in the affairs of men. And I want to remind you to trust him with the results that as you see these things unfolding around us, the insanity, the foolishness du jour happening, I'm going to get to it. You see these, you know, terrorist, attacks that are transpiring, and you see an uptick in them domestically in light of, or should I say following Operation Epic Fury and all of these things. When you're tempted to be whipped up into a frenzy, I want to remind you to anchor yourself in the immovable rock that is higher than us, to steady yourself in the one we look unto the hills from whence cometh our help. Our help comes from the Lord. And I'm not saying that like a throwaway, like a, like a hail, like, like a, like a Hail Mary pass. May hopefully this comes through. No, no, no. I'm saying it with a confidence. I'm saying it with a consistency. I'm saying it with a hope. I'm saying it that what we should look to is, as we talked about in the last segment, are we submitting ourselves to the Lord? You know, the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. Are we in a position where we're responsive to God's leading? Are we, a people that will complain about elected officials, but we're not open to the Lord leading us to become elected officials? And I want to be clear about something. I know plainly that politics shall never be our salvation. And I also know that God calls his people to do tough things. I refer often to what my man Will Addison says all the time. If we prayed as much as we complained, we probably would see a lot of different functions, a lot of different things happening. The scripture says, not my opinion. This is not my opinion. This is not my preference. The scripture says, submit ourselves to God and this to me, the devil, and he will flee from us. My question is, are we submitting ourselves to God? Very many times, in very many places, very many different ways. Many of the people who are professing to be God's people allow ourselves to be moved over. Though the Bible tells us the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, we find ourselves. We're kind of leaning on the strong arm of carnality. We kind of find ourselves leaning on the flesh. You know, I've told you, I've. I had conversations with people and they would say to me, abe, what can we do other than pray? And I understand what the, what, what the question is, is being presented, but sometimes the question is revealing a heart condition that is not conducive to the desire that they may actually have. The question might rightly state, as I am praying, what else can I do? As I am praying, I am praying. What can I do in addition to praying? Not like, well, I mean, praying one thing. What else can I do beside praying? You know, as a prayer is nothing. That's the point. I'm driving at. If you study the Scriptures, you'll find God has never required a majority to execute his will. Never required a majority. And I was reading the stories of Jonathan and how one particular battle, Jonathan only had his armor bearer. And he said, well, man, let's go over. Perhaps God will be faithful to us. Oh, man. What I'm saying, folks, is the weapons of our warfare, they're not carnal. If we are limiting ourselves to carnality, that is the only way we can get to a position where we're. We're despondent and hopeless. And I'm not saying this because I don't know what's happening in the world. M. Before the show coming on, I was like, why is it so hard to get Republicans to pass the Save America Act? Why is that such a hard thing to do? And I understand the reality of the 53, 47 majority and all that kind of stuff. I'm like, this is an issue that voters across the board support, so why is this such a challenging thing? It's because we're not merely wrestling against flesh and blood. So instead of saying, man, man, and look at what happened. And ever, ever since all of that momentum following Charlie, Kirk's assassination, and this has been snuffed out by all this political bickering and all this other kind of things, my question is, how are we responding? Personally and individually?
Resistance must be preceded and accompanied by submission
Personally and individually, how are we responding? Are we continuously seeking the Lord? Are we in a position where we're responsive to the Lord's leading? Are we obeying all that the Lord is calling us to, or are we just complainers? The Lord says it plainly. Submit to God, Resist the Devil. He'll flee. The submission precedes the resistance. We have a lot of people that want to resist. We don't have as many people that are willing to submit. The resistance must be preceded and accompanied by the submission.
There needs to be more candid conversations about the truth of Islamic supremacy
All right, with that said, I've been saying this. I'm going to continue saying it. one of the things that needs to happen in our country, especially in light of Operation Epic Fury, is that there needs to be more candid conversations about the truth of Islamic supremacy and what the ideology is. For people to say that it is merely a religion, that is an inaccurate articulation of what the truth is. There is a core political ideology that is intrinsic. Now, again, this is not to say that there aren't people who derogate from that, but we need to be clear about it that people who do not embrace the political supremacy portions of Islam, they are derogating away from what Islam teaches. They are not. And if you study history, this is why we spent the episodes we have with Bill Federer talking about the history of the ideology and the things that are happening, because none of this is new. None of this is new now in our. Our country recently.
David Wolin: So you have this terrorist murderer who murdered at Virginia university
I'll start this now. I'm going to run out, run out of time in this segment to talk about this, but we need to be honest about something. So you have this terrorist murderer who murdered ROTC instructor Lt. Col. Brandon Shaw at Old Dominion University, injured several, several others. Well, it doesn't take rocket surgery to figure out, first and foremost, this dude had already been convicted and was serving time in federal prison. Oh, not for some general criminality, specifically for providing material support to isis. That's why he was in federal prison. Which brings another issue to the forefront. But I want you to listen to a little bit about this. This is some of the things we know about this guy who murdered this innocent man in Virginia and injured several others. Listen to and watch clip number four. Clip four, go. what we know about this individual is they actually convicted in a completely separate case 10 years ago. Right. So back in 2016, they're arrested in connection with this FBI bust of, involving support for ISIS. And in that case, what the authorities allege is that this individual bought a gun and was part of a plot, to kill members, of the military. So while we do not, you know, the authorities have not yet spoken as to the official motive, we know that he was associated with ISIS in the past and admitted to that, in conjunction with that case, and that was allegedly part of a plot to kill members of the military. He ultimately got 11 years in prison, and he was released in, in 2024. Now, there are a couple of facts, facts that should be brought to the forefront. For example, he was convicted in 2017, got 11 years in prison. Quick math was 17 plus 11. Well, that would be 28. What year are we in right now? Oh, 2026. So what does that tell you? If he was sentenced to 11 years in prison for providing material support to ISIS, but he's out to commit these murders, commit this murder at Old Dominion University. what it tells you is that he was released early. This guy was a naturalized citizen. And maybe, maybe people may say that, that. That is harsh of me to say this, but he was born in Sierra Leone. He served in the Virginia National Guard from 29, 22,009 to 2015. But according to what we know, his Service in the National Guard ended and coincided with him consuming radical jihadist teachings online. He said in 2016 he had, he had, he had considered repeating a Fort Hood type massacre. But he's in our federal prison. He apparently participates in a drug program that results in him being released from prison early. And upon being released from prison early, he commits this act of terrorism at Old Dominion University. what is required of those entrusted with something of greatest importance? The Apostle Paul had deep convictions about that they must prove faithful. There are massive implications for those entrusted with teaching God's word in the age of AI. I'm David Wolin. Abraham Hamilton III: Somebody explain to me how this happens
Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I'm intentionally not referring to the murderer in the Old Dominion case by name. Y' all know I don't like to aggrandize the murderers, but anybody want to explain to me how we have a naturalized citizen who commits a crime and is convicted to providing material support to a terrorist organization that is committed to the destruction of the United States of America and we at a minimum, do not remove his naturalization status. Somebody want to explain to me how you can have someone commit convicted of a terrorist related crime, but we let them back out into our. And let him out early, by the way. Let him out early. Let him out early. And he's released in 2024. And guess what's happening in 2024. Y' all want to tell me who is in. Who is the head of the federal executive branch of the government in 2024 that also presides over the Federal Bureau of Prisons? Anybody want to take a stab at that? yeah, I know there's bureaucratic things that could happen, but it's just, it's just galling that this happens.
Another terrorist was shot dead after driving his car into a synagogue in Michigan
Then, then you, you have in Addition to that, you have just hours later or hours away in time that you have another terrorist in Michigan. Now, haven't we been talking about what's happening in Dearborn, Michigan? Well, you have another terrorist who was shot dead after driving his vehicle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, right? Now, the, the thing that, and I found lots of these media outlets are not comfortable saying, but I'm going to say it. He drives. I have the distance here with 38 miles. From his home in Dearborn Heights. Remember what we've been talking about in Dearborn Heights? Remember we, with Bill Federer, we talked about the Shia Sunni distinction, and remember what we talked about one of the places that is a, prevalent Shiite outpost in our own country. But we can't talk about it. And y' all gonna really. And some of you might know this information already, but when I, when you hear what I'm about to tell you next, some of you gonna be like, what? So this terrorist drives his car packed with, you know, fireworks. This is funny. Some, some outlets say fireworks. Other call it explosives. Clearly, he drove his car into a, synagogue that also has a school and a childcare center because he wanted to have a fireworks show. That's why, that's why he did it. He just wanted to. Come on, man. And after driving his car into to the synagogue in Michigan, he gets out and draws his own weapon. Thankfully, nobody other than the terrorists lost their lives in this scenario. but y' all want to know who, who, who, who this guy's family is? I, I, I'll let you hear it from someone else, and then I'll come back and tell you. Listen to and watch clip number three to learn a little bit more about the terrorists in Michigan.
Israeli military says Michigan synagogue attacker is brother of Hezbollah commander killed in Lebanon
Clip three, Go. The Israeli military says the man who attacked a Michigan synagogue is the brother of a Hezbollah commander killed in Lebanon earlier this month. On March 12, Ayman Mohammed Ghazali rammed a truck into the Temple Israel Synagogue in a suburb of Detroit, exchanged gunfire with security guards, and eventually killed himself. Reports last week suggested Ghazali was motivated by an Israeli attack in Lebanon that left multiple members of his family dead, including two young children. The Israeli military now says one of the dead is Ghazali's brother, Ibrahim Mohamed Ghazali, a, Hezbollah commander in the Badr unit, which Israel says is responsible for firing hundreds of rockets towards Israel in the last several weeks. So the dude who rammed his car into the, the synagogue in Michigan is the brother of a Hezbollah commander, Is the brother of A Hezbollah commander. Can I make this stuff up? Even Gretchen Whitmer had to come out and say, well this, this attack is anti Semitism. Duh, Gretchen, duh, duh. But because I'm concerned about it. Oh, I'm xenophobic, you see. Yeah, I'm xenophobic. I'm not xenophobic at all. I just happen to have eyes and the Lord has graced me to be literate and I can read that what's happening now. And this is amazing to me because when I even have some people who said, well, after listening to m. Several of my programs or Abraham isn't the Christian, doctrine. Christians want the whole world to be Christians. Not by force. Not by force. Nobody is saying embrace Christ or off with your head. What? Nobody's saying that. What I'm saying is that our nation has been tenderized into, by, into ignorance and negligence because we had the ideology as reflected in George W. Bush's statement. Oh, this is just a religion of peace. Like, how can you say that? You don't have to. Broad brush, broad brush, condemn all people, but you have a, responsibility to identify the audio, the ideology. It's no different. Remember when the Pulse nightclub in Florida dude literally is saying I want my snack bar. And Obama and him talking about, we don't know why, what's going on. We have to investigate to see what's going on. It's like. We have an obligation to be honest about what's transpiring. And so that, that is how, and I shared this on my social media, how you have. 24 years and counting after 9, 11 now you have the mayor of NewSong York sitting in the mayor's office in NewSong York City, the exact same city. And if, if we have people who are unfamiliar with the ideology, they don't understand that terrorists see that as evidence of, of them winning. Do you understand what I'm saying to you? Historically, what puts the wet blanket on the fervor to commit acts of terrorism is when they're met with force. You think it's a coincidence that this also follows? You know, the would be terrorists, young terrorists in this instance in NewSong York that were making makeshift bombs to set off right outside of the Islamian Gracie Mansion. And then don't forget about old boy outside of the, in Austin, Texas. What I'm, what I'm saying folks is, is we can play if we want and act like this is these are all coincidences if we want. And you're wondering why job number one for President Trump was Securing the border, who all came into this country in the last several years. This is not to provoke fear at all, but we need to be honest about what's happening. We need to be honest about the reality that's happening in our own country and what has been happening. It is concerning to me that we could have a person who literally goes to prison for terrorism, who is not from our country, and we just shrug our shoulders and yeah, sure, sure. Right back out into the, to the, the wonderful fruited plane. Right, right on out. And people don't understand why President Trump was elected. One of the major reasons why is he's peace, plain spoken and is willing to say, hey, these people are trying to kill us, so we're not gonna let them kill us. You have people that play lip service all along? Oh, yeah, Israel's, our ally. And President Trump said, well, I'm going to move the U.S. u.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. And they remember how all the world screeched. No, you can't do. You can't. You can't do. You can't do. You can't do it. And what happened? Nothing. Nothing. I'm explaining all of this, guys, for the express purposes of reiterating what I said earlier. We can if we will, we can if we will. And I don't want anybody to misconstrue what I'm saying, that I do not conflate gospel imperatives and disciple making with civic engagement, but understand that civic engagement is downstream from the gospel imperatives, like some, some of the people. And it just boggles my mind. That was. Will say some insanely idiotic things, you know, like, oh, the Christianity is a great threat. Or even people that try to use the Christian nationalism. It's like, do you understand it was Christianity in the biblical worldview that led to the founding of this nation? Do you understand that? And most people, many, I won't say most many people do not understand it. Why don't they understand it? Because they have been indoctrinated with an intentionally skewed presentation of history. But because you've had papers and documents given from certain institutions, they believe, they're educated. They haven't read the founding statements. They haven't having read anything about the lives of the American founders. They don't know who the 39 individuals were who signed our Constitution. They don't know the 56 people who signed our Declaration of Independence. They don't know who they are. They don't know. Here's some homework. Here's some homework, right for you and to share identify the 56 people who signed the Declaration of Independence. Who were they? Not just their names. Who were they? What did they do? Where were they trained? What did they study? It'll radically transform your understanding of our nation's founding. And that's a great homework assignment in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Most Americans don't know who the 39 people who signed our Constitution
Why is it. Why is it in our nation, land of the free, home of the brave, the United States of America. Why is it that the majority of our citizens don't know the names of the 56 people who sign our Declaration of Independence? Why is it that the majority of our citizens don't know the 39 people who signed our Constitution? And I'm not saying this to condemn anybody. And I said it because I read a book and so I'm a pop my collar and flex on somebody. No, I'm not saying it for that reason at all. What I'm saying is that's evidence of the intentional efforts to fundamentally transform our nation into something that it is not. You understand what I'm saying? There was a period of time, nearly an entire century, where elementary school students were required to read George Washington's Farewell Address. Required to read it. We're not required to read it anymore. I wonder why. Probably for the same reason. And I just use this example because it's popular, because it's a. It's, it's a provocative example. Probably for the same reason. We don't really know much about Sir Isaac Newton beyond his commitment to the laws of physics. Do you think that's a coincidence? Do you, do you think that's just man. Oh yeah, that is true. While he's thinking about Abe, I don't really know who the 39 people were who signed the US Constitution. I know John Hancock. I, I didn't even realize a real person. Do you realize John Hancock is a real person? That we have the, the expression let me put my John Hancock on it because of the size of his signature on the. But do we know who he is? What he stood for, what he believed? Why is it that we don't study any the debates that took place in our Constitution? James, James Madison took copious notes. Copious notes. What I'm saying, guys, it's been intentional. That's what I'm saying. It's been an intentional dumbing down. And these are some of the same people. They can't tell you nothing about the 56 signs of the Declaration of Independence, but they're the same ones that will tell you, but you know, there's a separation of church and state. We have a temporary shirt. Where is that in the Constitution? Give me a second. Let me find it. You won't find it. And, you guys know, if you listen to the show any, any length of time, I'm not saying to you that our founders were perfect, not in the least bit. But God is a master at using crooked sticks to paint straight lines. Whenever America has been, has had problems, and it is because we've deviated away from our founding principles, our practices didn't align with our principles. And now we've had generations of Americans who've been deprived of knowing what our principles are, which have resulted in really debates about varying degrees of regressivism as opposed to having a wholesale Constitutionalists understanding.
