“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (ESV).
My name is Abraham Hamilton, III and this is The Hamilton Minute.
Kalin Bennett was diagnosed as a young child with autism spectrum disorder. He did not walk until he was 4 years old. He didn’t speak until he was 7 years old and he couldn’t hold a conversation until he was 8 years old.
Kalin is now the first person in NCAA history to earn a scholarship to play Division 1 college basketball after being diagnosed with autism.
This fall, Kalin will play basketball at Kent State University. At 6’10, 270 lbs. Bennett had numerous options but he chose Kent State because of their demonstrable commitment to autism awareness.
Congratulations Kalin.
