“And He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39 (ESV)
In this portion of Scripture Jesus announced, at the onset, that He and His disciples were going to the other side.
Yet, when the storm arose, the disciples feared… but Jesus slept.
It's a perfect picture of the peace available to us when we realize we are not alone. Jesus is on board.
Though storms may rage externally, we don’t have to allow the storms to rage internally. Besides, Jesus has already assured us of our destination.
