Public records prove that Paul Pelosi, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, sold over $500,000 to $1 million worth of Visa stock just before the Department of Justice announced antitrust charges against the company.

The transaction occurred less than three months before the announcement of the federal lawsuit. Visa’s stock value dropped 5.5% after the federal charges were announced.

It could be that Paul Pelosi is just a shrewd investor who moved his money out with impeccable timing or he’s taking advantage of inside governmental information to enrich himself. Martha Stewart may want a word with Mr. Pelosi.
