The Department of Justice announced that 94 year-old former Cuban President and longtime Defense Minister Raúl Castro and five co-defendants have been indicted by a federal grand jury for four counts of murder, conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, and destruction of aircraft in connection with a 1996 incident where Cuban jets shot down humanitarian flights of the Cuban exile group Brothers to the Rescue.

It is noteworthy, that indictment preceded Operation Absolute Resolve in which the Venezuelan Marxist dictator Nicolas Maduro was grabbed up.
