Tim Wildmon: Hey, welcome back, everybody, to Today's Issues on the American Family Radio Network. Tim with Fred and Steve Paisley-George. Steve joins us now. Good morning, brother Steve.
Abraham Hamilton III: Good morning, everybody.
Tim Wildmon: We asked Abraham Hamilton III to hang around for just a few more minutes, and you said you didn't mind, did you, Steve?
Abraham Hamilton III: No, I'm very happy to share the radio dial with Abraham Hamilton III. It always makes me look smarter when he's on with me.
Tim Wildmon: He makes you look smart because he's dominant.
Abraham Hamilton III: It's because the level of conversation is always elevated.
Tim Wildmon: It's not with Fred and me.
Abraham Hamilton III: You try to answer the questions the best you can, but it just all went awry.
Tim Wildmon: Wrapping up our conversation about Islam and what Islam teaches, we should be concerned about that as Americans. We should obviously love, witness to, and do what we can to befriend individual Muslims so that we can be a witness for Christ. But that's different from understanding the ideology and religious teaching of Islam, and the threat that it is to our American way of life and our American government. We've been laying out the case for that in the last twenty or thirty minutes or so.
What do we do from here? What would you say, in terms of what we see happening in Europe? They've had massive Muslim immigration. President Trump says that's the reason for the unrest and the riots in France. I don't know that that's altogether true or not. I'm sure it plays a part in it, but they are ten to twelve percent Muslim now after all these years of immigration.
Abraham Hamilton III: To the point that you made before, it is our duty as Christians to love everyone. We must love individual Muslims, and we must share the gospel with individual Muslims. That is not synonymous with embracing Sharia law or importing people to our country who have committed themselves to supplanting our constitutional republican form of government in favor of their religious convictions.
Tim Wildmon: But how do we weed those folks out from emigrating here?
Abraham Hamilton III: If you want my immigration policy, I'll give it to you straight away. I think we need to have a moratorium on all immigration, legal and illegal, because we cannot continue to import massive amounts of people to our country who are not assimilating to our culture. We need to stop it, dead in its tracks, right now, all of it.
Tim Wildmon: That's a moratorium. Pause it.
Abraham Hamilton III: Exactly. If we continue, it's like I have friends who live in Canada. For a long time, America has been viewed as the melting pot. They would say Canada is a salad bowl. You have everyone there in one bowl, but you have clearly distinguishable pieces, and the allegiance to the nation as a whole is just not there. Many have more allegiance to where they came from than to the place where they are.
Secondly, we have to do a far more diligent job of vetting who comes here. Not only do we have the barn door swung open, it was completely without considering who was coming.
Tim Wildmon: Could there be Muslims who are coming to America to escape Iran?
Abraham Hamilton III: Absolutely. They could be escaping oppressive states. But we need to be diligent in vetting that instead of inviting people to come no matter what.
To the point that you were making earlier, and we talked about this a little bit during the break, this is not a new thing. We need to take note of recent things that have transpired, absolutely, but we have fourteen hundred years of history to tell us what direction these things are headed.
The first war that our nation fought after we secured independence from Great Britain was the Barbary Wars, when our nation was being attacked by Islamic nations off the coast of North Africa.
Tim Wildmon: Of course, off the coast of North Africa. That's why the Marine hymn has its line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli." In the earliest stages of our fledgling nation, we basically paid jizya to avoid attacks for nearly two decades. We were fighting Muslim terrorists, and that's the reason we created a navy. The Navy literally was created to push back Muslim terrorism.
Abraham Hamilton III: September 11 is not a random date. That's a date historically significant among Islamic terrorists. It is an attempt to reverse, among several things, one of the major defeats to which the Islamists succumbed: being expelled from Spain historically. September 11 is significant to them, which is why you see repeated efforts to have Islamic terrorist attacks occur on September 11th, in New York City and in Benghazi, Libya. That is being intentionally done, but many of our fellow countrymen are not aware of these things, which is why those dates go over our heads.
Tim Wildmon: I have a question for you, sir. I've heard the argument that Islam can be argued to be not so much a religion as a political force. It's a political movement, and they seem to be using the First Amendment freedom of religion in order to game the system. Can we push back by saying, or outlawing, a different form of government? Islam is a political movement, and we can push back against foreign political movements that are antidemocratic.
Abraham Hamilton III: You don't even have to create new law. Article IV, Section 4 of the United States Constitution guarantees to every American citizen a constitutional republican form of government. We have no lawful obligation under the First Amendment or any other banner to allow Sharia councils or other forms of government. First Amendment law even gives us the wherewithal to make sure we maintain the preservation of peaceful liberty in our own country.
If somebody has a religion and says, "Our religion allows us to shoot pregnant mothers at Target," we wouldn't say, "Under the guise of your religion, we'll allow you to shoot pregnant mothers at Target." No, because that is criminality that subverts our Constitution, our republican form of government, and the peaceable norms in our nation.
It's not a matter of what tools are available to us. It's a question of whether we have the will to use the tools that already exist to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and to our posterity, as our constitutional preamble says.
Tim Wildmon: Would that have something to do with Governor Abbott's fight against this proposed Islamic community in Texas? Once you have a community, you're very close to saying, "We're going to pass some regulations on how this community is going to be run," because that community would be all Muslim. They wanted to build their own town with their own rules and regulations and so forth. Is that what we're talking about? Did that ever take place?
Abraham Hamilton III: They're still trying it. They just changed the name. The initial name was Epic City, the East Plano Islamic Center, and they changed the name to The Meadows. But they're still trying to do the exact same thing under another name.
The intentional objective all along was to have a Muslim-exclusive community, complete with mosques, houses, and community centers, all for Muslims only.
Tim Wildmon: Would they have the public call to prayer over loudspeakers, like they do in Michigan somewhere?
Abraham Hamilton III: Yes, they do it in Dearborn. They would do it there, too. To the point that you made earlier about being peaceful until you have a majority, before Dearborn reached the population mass that it has now, you didn't see things like that. But now that it has the population mass, the mayor is a Shiite Muslim, and he tells a Christian resident, "You're not welcome here."
Tim Wildmon: Just as an aside, but related to what we're talking about here, Europe, I hate to say this, but the numbers are what they are. Europe as we know it is going to be changed forever. If trends don't change, it's going to be changed forever within the next thirty to fifty years, perhaps sooner.
The reason is that Muslims have immigrated from North Africa and the Middle East into Europe. They are having babies. They average three, four, five, maybe six children, whereas native Europeans are not having babies. They aren't even rising to the level of replacement numbers, which would be about 2.1 children.
So if you extrapolate that, if you lay those numbers out over a couple of decades, you can see where Muslims could potentially become a majority of the people in Europe.
I don't know whether the majority of those coming and immigrating into Europe from Muslim countries are trying to escape Islamic dominance themselves and live a more free life, longing for the freedom that Western-style democracy allows, or whether they're coming because they want to get enough numbers to take over Europe and make it like Iran or another Islamic government. I don't know the answer to that.
Abraham Hamilton III: A salient question in light of the question you just posed is, where is the fervent reformation movement among Muslims to communicate, "No, we disavow murderous, terroristic Sharia advocacy, and we are charting a course for a public-facing, reformed Islamic movement"?
You won't find that. I know there are some. They have very small voices, and their influence is very minimal. Usually, they are under threat by those who are the Sharia advocates, which is why you don't hear much about that.
Tim Wildmon: You mentioned Europe. I wanted to play a clip. This is something that happened in England. The police are enforcing laws there that say if you cause offense, you are criminally liable. There was a Palestinian protest in London, and a Jewish man showed up wearing a yarmulke. This happened within the last week. What you're going to hear the officer say is that because he is quite openly Jewish, he has to leave or he will be arrested. Listen to this.
Abraham Hamilton III: You are quite openly Jewish. This is a pro-Palestinian march. I'm not accusing you of anything, but I'm worried about the reaction to your being in this area. You can either leave freely, or if you choose to remain here because you are causing a breach of the peace, you will be arrested because you are quite openly Jewish. That's all you have to be.
Tim Wildmon: I think what he was saying was, "You're provoking." In America, you can't use that. If you generally go out there and start a fight with them, that's different. But you have freedom of speech to demonstrate on the same sidewalk, as long as you don't get into a fight.
Europe is inviting these people in and accommodating these kinds of things. That's the egregious encroachment on freedom of speech, because he's saying that because you're quite openly Jewish, your physical presence would lead to your arrest.
I can tell you how many times, even when American Family Association sent me to Washington, D.C., during the Jack Phillips case, I was obviously there advocating in Jack Phillips' favor. About fifty feet away from where I was standing and being interviewed, people were counterprotesting in the same place. So you mean to tell me that in England, in London, you can have a protest in favor of the so-called Palestinians, but you cannot have a counterprotest at the exact same time in a space nearby?
Abraham Hamilton III: It's already bad in Great Britain. It's already bad in France. They have Muslim-dominated and controlled areas of those countries. I've known people who have lived there. They're called no-go zones. The police don't go there because they are Muslim-dominated, and they have their own rules, regulations, and Sharia laws often implemented.
Tim Wildmon: What else was part of this topic that we wanted to get to? Anyway, you're listening to Today's Issues on American Family Radio.
I've had a thought and it flees. It flees?
Abraham Hamilton III: Pretty smart. I was just informing you that the word is "fleeting."
Tim Wildmon: Pretty smart. He just informed me that the clip was from 2024.
Abraham Hamilton III: That's what I thought. It sounded older.
Tim Wildmon: I wanted to know. Well, here's what I wanted to say. My thought came back to me. It's bad when you're on live national radio and you lose your train of thought. People, put yourself in my place.
We talked about this, and maybe it was off the air. The Jews are a hunted people. They're being attacked walking down the street if they identify as Jewish. It's a dangerous world for Jews right now.
The war against Hamas in Gaza and the propaganda being promoted by the Jew-hating people of this world make the Israelis out to be altogether bad guys and evildoers against the Arabs who live in Gaza.
Abraham Hamilton III: Yes, there are innocent people who are killed in Gaza, noncombatants. But we've explained many times before that Israel is trying to survive against a terrorist organization that hides behind schools, under mosques, and in hospitals. They hide their weapons and build tunnels. What's Israel supposed to do? They've got to defend themselves. Sometimes people are going to die who aren't combatants, sadly, but that's the kind of warfare they have to fight to survive.
Tim Wildmon: When they do that, a video goes viral and they get blamed by everybody in the world for "genocide." But back to this point, why do you think the Jews are under siege? There's almost nowhere for them to go in the world. They're hated by the teachings of Muslims. They're hated by the far-right Nazi-type people who think the Jews control the world. Anyway, go ahead.
Abraham Hamilton III: I would argue that the Nazi types are not far right.
Tim Wildmon: You understand the point I'm making. I think ultimately it's spiritual. You said the Jews.
Abraham Hamilton III: I agree. We're far right, but we're not Nazis, so I don't know how to describe it.
Tim Wildmon: I would just say right, in terms of we're right in there.
Abraham Hamilton III: I think it's spiritual. When you said that Jewish people are under siege, I would say they are under siege again. I was talking on The Hamilton Corner on Monday about how the entire book of Esther, whose Hebrew name is Hadassah, is an example of that.
Under the Persian Empire, with Xerxes as the king, you have the wicked Haman, who concocts a plan to annihilate all the Jews. Haman was a descendant of Agag, and Mordecai was a descendant of the tribe of Benjamin. So you have a repeat of the Benjamites and the Agagites, the same way you had Saul and Agag historically. Haman creates this plot to annihilate all of the Jews.
Tim Wildmon: Where can you find this in the Old Testament, for those who don't know?
Abraham Hamilton III: The book of Esther, right before you get to Job.
Tim Wildmon: Okay.
Abraham Hamilton III: It's a very short book, actually. You can read the entire thing. This is where you have the famous passage in which Mordecai appeals to Hadassah, saying, "Don't think that because you're in the palace, you'll be immune from this holocaust. It will reach you in the palace. Could it be that the Lord has allowed you to be in the palace, with influence and access to the king, for such a time as this?"
While that passage is profound and powerful in and of itself, people fail to realize what the remedy was. What was the deliverance that God afforded the Jewish people within the Persian Empire to stave off annihilation at that time?
The remedy that the Lord afforded them was the opportunity to defend themselves.
Tim Wildmon: Yes.
Abraham Hamilton III: He gave them the legal right to fight against the people who were trying to annihilate them. That was the deliverance, and it became the predecessor for the Feast of Purim.
That was a Holocaust attempt right in our Scripture. Throughout human history, time and time again, there have been efforts to annihilate the Jewish people. One of the major purposes is to try to undermine and nullify God's promise to His people.
It is not a rational hatred. In the Middle East, where else can you have a haven for an Arab population?
Tim Wildmon: You have Arabs who help comprise the Knesset in Israel. Israel is a welcoming place, including for Arabs, because it ultimately is a spiritual issue.
Abraham Hamilton III: Scripture talks about all the nations of the world turning against the Jewish people, and I think we're seeing some of that come to the fore in light of what's happening here contemporarily.
Tim Wildmon: To prove what you're saying, look at the United Nations and the resolutions against Israel.
Abraham Hamilton III: Daily.
Tim Wildmon: Even after October 7th.
Abraham Hamilton III: Even after October 7th.
Tim Wildmon: The resolutions. We know what happened on college campuses in this country within a few days after that massacre in October of 2023. It wasn't just Muslim students on campuses in this country. It was many people, Protestants and Catholics, who had been taught that the Jews are the problem in this world.
Even though Hamas terrorists attacked and killed more than 1,200 Jews, within hours the Jews became the bad guys in this.
Abraham Hamilton III: As you say, it is an irrational hatred.
Tim Wildmon: It's totally irrational.
Abraham Hamilton III: Satan is operating. Satan hates the Jewish people because God called Abraham to create a chosen people. Therefore, Satan hates them.
Tim Wildmon: We need to watch this because the United States of America has always been the number one ally of Israel.
Abraham Hamilton III: That's right.
Tim Wildmon: There is a move underway to divorce the United States from support of Israel, and it's growing. As I mentioned, it's coming not only from the far political left, but I don't know how to describe the other side.
Abraham Hamilton III: The far political right.
Tim Wildmon: Right. There is antisemitism there, too, that is inexplicable. They would probably say the Jews control the banks or Hollywood or something like that.
I'm just saying that I worry about what the next presidential administration might do. President Trump has been supportive of Israel, as all presidents have been for the most part, up until Barack Obama. Barack Obama was generally supportive, but he began to distance the United States from our resolve to stand with Israel.
I don't know where this is going to go after the next election. Quite frankly, I'm a little worried about JD Vance.
Abraham Hamilton III: I was just going to say that same thing. I like Marco Rubio.
Tim Wildmon: That's going to be the battle in the Republican Party, because I think JD Vance is kind of a real...
I'm not saying JD Vance is against Israel. I'm saying the approach within a lot of the MAGA movement is this: "We don't need to let Israel dictate our foreign policy." For example, they would say Netanyahu got us into this war with Iran because he convinced Trump to join him, and that's not our fight.
Abraham Hamilton III: That's not our battle.
Tim Wildmon: You see what I'm saying?
Abraham Hamilton III: I do.
Tim Wildmon: This is the way they frame it. These are friends of ours, otherwise, but that's the way they would frame it.
I just say, look, you've got to look at the bigger picture here. What's going on in the world? We've got to support Israel as much as we possibly can. I'm not saying Israel is right or wrong. Israel can be criticized.
Abraham Hamilton III: Absolutely.
Tim Wildmon: But Israel is often unfairly criticized, as we've documented. It happens over and over and over again, to the point where a lot of people are saying, "Let's dissolve our special relationship with Israel altogether," which would be a disaster for America on many levels.
We've run out of time to talk about that here, so just pray for that whole situation we've talked about.
Thanks for staying with us.
Abraham Hamilton III: My pleasure.
Tim Wildmon: Steve.
Abraham Hamilton III: My pleasure. Thank you.
Tim Wildmon: Fred, appreciate it. And everybody else who joined us on the show, we'll see you back here tomorrow, everybody.

Tim Wildmon and a guest commentator discuss the challenges posed by Islamic immigration, the meaning of Sharia law, and whether the United States is adequately vetting immigrants and protecting its constitutional form of government. The conversation includes the proposed Muslim community known as Epic City, later called The Meadows, in Texas, along with concerns about Muslim-majority areas in Europe and the United States.
The program also examines rising antisemitism, restrictions on Jewish protesters in London, and criticism directed at Israel during its war with Hamas. The hosts connect current hostility toward Israel and the Jewish people with the biblical account of Esther, then consider the future of the U.S.-Israel alliance and debate within the Republican Party over American foreign policy.
