Jeff Chamblee Welcome to Real Truth for Today with Pastor Jeff Shirive, Senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Now here's Pastor Jeff.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, good m Morning and welcome to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on this beautiful Tuesday morning in Texarkana, Texas. Hope you're having a great morning so far. This is a big day for us at First Baptist Texarkana because we have a, concert tonight with Rend Collective and David Crowder. It is pretty, much a sellout concert. I think there are a couple scattered seats here and there. If you live in the Texarkana area and say, hey, I'd like to go see David Crowder tonight, you can go online fbctexarcanada.org and click on the link and find where some seats might be available. But they're calling it pretty much a sellout and many people are excited. You know, David Crowder is first ah, Baptist Text Arcana product. He was in our church for many, many years growing up and a lot of friends here. And so he's excited about this homecoming, concert, so to speak. And it should be really, really good. I'm not a huge music buff so I'm not super, you know, knowledgeable about Wren Collective. I did look them up about because I thought that's a weird name. But it has to do with rending your garments. And they are collectively rending their garments. As the Lord says, rend your. Rend your heart. Actually rend your heart, not your garments. But the Lord says that he wanted people to rend their hearts, tear their hearts and not their Garments. You know, the Jews would tear their gar to express their grief over some situation. And, God wants us to rend our heart to express our grief over our sin, as we return to him. Well, I wanted to read to you from second Peter, chapter two, where the Lord talks about the rise of false teachers and he talks about the Faithfulness of Noah, Second Peter, Chapter 2. But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality. And because of them, the way of the truth will be maligned. And in their greed, they will exploit you with false words. Their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness reserved for judgment, and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness with seven others. His wife, his three sons and their respective wives. A preacher of righteousness with seven others when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly. And if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live on godly lives thereafter. And if he rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men, for by what he saw and heard, that righteous man. Bible calls Lot a righteous man. the same man that offered his daughters to the lust filled sodomites who wanted to have sex with the angels who looked like men. For but what he saw and heard, that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds. Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment. So here's what I was thinking about this morning. Noah, one of my favorite men in Scripture. Noah, the man who built the ark. The man who found favor. Genesis 6. Noah found Grace. He found favor in the eyes of the Lord. The whole earth was rotten. And God was sorry in his heart that he made man. And he said, I'm going to destroy man from the face of the earth. But Noah found favor in the Lord's sight. And the Lord called Noah to build this great vessel we know as Noah's Ark. And he was building that ark, from my reading of Scripture, for 100 years, from the time he was 500 until he was 600. The Bible mentions in Genesis 5, Noah was 500 when he had his sons, and then he was 600 when he went on the ark. And so there's a hundred year period in there. some say 120 years. Because Genesis 6:3 says, my, spirit shall not strive with man forever, yet his days shall be 120 years. There's, a big gap of time, a long time in there. the Bible says in First Peter 3 that the patience of God was waiting in the days of Noah. Here's the thing about Noah. He's an ark builder. He's a preacher of righteousness. And he preached and preached and preached. Even though we may not know exactly how long it was building that ark, we know that, that those hundred years are mentioned. He was 600, nobody denies that. When he went on to the ark, for a long time, for decades he was building the boat. And for decades he was preaching that this is the ark of salvation, that God, is going to destroy the world with a flood. And he was faithful in that message. And here's the thing that is so, encouraging about Noah. This is what makes him an example to me is he saw really outside of his own family, he saw zero Results, 0 converts. 0 was the number that came forward when they sang, 10 verses of just As I Am. And he did it day after day after day after day. he had the ring of hammers in the background and the threat of, the flood in the foreground. And he's preaching that, this is God's ark of safety. If you come on the ark, you can be saved from the judgment that is to come. The ark is a picture of Jesus. It's an object lesson for us to say Jesus is our ark of safety. And we, need to be preachers of righteousness. We need to stand up for the truth and speak the truth in love. And, and the, evidence of being faithful is not necessarily fruitfulness. It's being obedient to what God has called us to do. And so, you know, as we think about the midterms, and I've talked to different ones and they're, you know, in Texas, the big Senate race between James Tallarico and Ken Paxton. And, many are saying, well, Ken Paxton can't get elected. You know, everybody's going to vote for James Talarico. Well, I hope not. I pray that that's not going to take place. I pray in the midterm elections that, we don't see our country go in the wrong direction. You know, as we shared yesterday, as I talked to Dr. Rodney Floyd, you have the Democrats, they want to take the country in a certain direction, and the public, Republicans, want to take it in an. A different direction. So two different directions, two different visions, for America and, choosing. Choosing our leaders is critical. I was doing a little research this morning on the Founding Fathers. How, how would they vote? If the Founding Fathers could vote today, how would they vote? And, you know, if you ask AI to evaluate the Founding Fathers and what they said and what they believed, how they lived, how would that influence their vote? Well, obviously on the moral issues, they would not vote for abortion. They would not vote for transgender insanity. They would not vote to curtail free speech and religious freedom. They wouldn't vote for any of those things. They would not vote for open borders. they would know, that's suicide. They would not vote for socialism. No way. They knew that is wrong. Now they created a government that, as Benjamin Franklin said when he was asked the question, what kind of government do we have? He said, it's a republic, madam, if we can keep it. And so the, the way the founders set up the Constitution has embedded in the Constitution its own demise. If we, the people, vote for people to represent us who are going to destroy us, if we vote for people who hate America, guess what? America will no longer exist. So here we are as Christians. We are strangers in a strange land. We're strangers and aliens, as Peter says, in the book of First Peter, I urge you, as strangers and aliens to, resist and to stay away from sexual, immorality that wage war. The youthful lusts that wage war against your soul. So we're strangers and aliens here, but we are fighting for the welfare of the city. We're fighting for what is best for the people who live here. And, we warn people that, hey, you know, there's wrath coming. Wrath is coming from God. For the wrath of God. Romans, chapter one says, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which is known about God is evident within them, for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world, his invisible power, his. His eternal power, his invisible attributes have been clearly seen being understood through what has been made so that they are without excuse. Every person knows that when you have a creation, you have a creator. Things don't come about by osmosis they don't just happen nobody times nothing doesn't equal everything. And so the creation says there must be a Creator. And God has given us the voice of creation and the voice of conscience. We are without excuse. We know that we have a Creator, and we're going to have to answer to him one day. So God's wrath is coming upon our world, is coming upon our nation, because of unrighteousness. So we point people to Jesus and we try. I love the illustration that Robert Jeffress gave about holding up the dam. There's a big dam, and there's water on the other side of that dam. And it threatens to break through the dam and destroy the city below. And we're trying to hold up that wall as long as possible so we can warn the people in the city below that you need to evacuate because the dam will not hold forever. And, and when it breaks, you're going to get washed away in the flood. And just as Noah would warn the people, a flood is coming. But if you'll get on this ark, you can be saved from the judgment of God. And, you know, there was interesting with Noah's ark. He built that thing and he put pitch, in the ark to seal it. It's like a black sticky tar to seal it. And the word for pitch, kephar, is the same word that means atonement. It's translated atonement. It is a covering. And, when Noah was in that ark, not one drop of judgment ever hit him. Not one drop of rain ever hit him in that ark.
Caroline When?
Pastor Jeff Schreve Why? Because he was sealed and the covering was there. The atonement was there. What does it mean to be in Christ? It means your sins are forgiven, your sins are covered, and not one drop of God's judgment will fall on you. Romans 8:1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and of death. Hey, our job is to point people to Jesus. And our job is to hold up the wall so we can continue to preach Jesus, and call men, women, boys and girls to faith in Christ. And whether they respond or not, that's on them. We can't make them respond. That's their decision that they have to make. Noah, couldn't make anybody respond. He couldn't make his own family members respond. All he could do was be faithful to be a preacher of righteousness, be faithful to walk in the light as he Himself is in the light. Be faithful to do what God called him to do. What are we called to do? Pastors, my pastor friends that are listening today, we're called to preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort with great patience and instruction. For the time will come where men will reject the truth. They won't listen to the truth. They'll turn aside from the truth and turn to myths. And so we're called to be faithful. Well, you're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. When we come back from the break, we're going to be listening to some things, some clips that I have that help us see what is the battle and where we need to stand up and speak up. You're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on American Family Radio. We'll be right back.
Candace talks about finding out she was pregnant. Thankfully, an ultrasound provided by preborn allowed her to hear her baby's heartbeat.
Jeff Chamblee The sonogram sealed the deal for me. My baby was like this tiny little spectrum of hope and I saw his heart beating on the screen and knowing that there's life growing inside, I mean that sonogram changed my life. I went from just Candace to mom. Thank you to everybody that has given these gifts. You guys are giving more than money. You guys are giving love.
Preborn currently has clinics that do not have a ultrasound machines. Would you consider a leadership gift and sponsor a machine today? These life Saving machines cost $15,000 more than most centers can afford. Your donation will save countless lives for years to come. Dial pound250 and say the keyword baby or go to preborn.com afr.
Jeff Chamblee This is Real Truth for today. Podcasts of the program are available on the podcast [email protected] now back to Pastor Jeff Schrieve.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here. I had mentioned that we have a big concert tonight at First Baptist Texarkana and we are the venue for this concert. It's Rend Collective and David, Crowder. David Crowder and his band will be here tonight. The concert starts at 7. I just found this out. I didn't know this but Larry Nobles who is, has been the voice of the introductions for from his heart ministries for many, many years. He's been involved in our ministry for a long, long time, came to us I think in 2009, from love, worth finding just a wonderful guy, a wonderful friend, Larry and Vicki Nobles. Well their son in law, Jonathan Chu, who is an amazing violin player. He is the, violin player for Rend Collective. And so, just, ran across that tidbit. Toni Bleiholder just told me that she's a wonderful, wonderful, teammate at From His Heart Ministries. So just give, a shout out to Jonathan Chu and Larry and Vicki Nobles. Well, okay. So let's talk about being faithful. Our job is to be faithful. Noah was a preacher of righteousness. And even though he didn't see results outside of his own family, he was faithful to preach that, God had salvation for his people in the ark, that they had sinned, but they could get right with God. And, nobody took him up on it yet. He no doubt heard from the Lord. Well done, my good and faithful slave. You were faithful to do what I called you to do. And that is the crux of our Christianity, is to be faithful to our Lord. Why do you call me Lord? Lord Jesus said, and do not do the things that you say. If you disobey the Lord, you're not a faithful servant. So we need to be faithful to him. Now, one of the things that we need to be faithful with is our vote and our being involved. You know, it's the job of the church to keep the American citizen, the American citizens, a moral and religious people. Because, as Jon Adams said, the second president of the United States of America, one of our founding fathers, he said, the U.S. constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. And so the job of the church is to keep people moral and religious and to call out false teachers and, false prophets and those who would, deceive. That's how the devil works. He works through deception. And one of the big deceivers that is running for senate in. In the state of Texas, also in Kansas, with, the pastor of that large Methodist church who is running, Hamilton. And so we have James Tallarico, who presents himself as this, godly Christian, seminarian. But he's a Christian in name only. I mean, he uses the name Christian. He's not a Christian. And how do I say that? I call him, a fake Christian. People got mad at me for calling me him a fake Christian. Who are you to judge him? Well, I'm just judging him based on what the scripture says. A Christian is. A Christian is someone who understands Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through him. Christian is someone who understands that Jesus is God in the flesh. Unless you believe that I am Jesus said in Jon, chapter eight, ah, you will die in your sins. I am he. It says in the English rendering, but he is in italics. He didn't say that. He said, unless you believe I am, you will die in your sins. Before Abraham was born, I. I am. The Jews picked up stones to stone him because they knew you are claiming to be God. They actually said that. He said, I've shown you many good works for the from the Father. From which are you stoning me for a good work? We stone you not. But for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself out to be God. Well, he did do that. And he can do that because he is God. He's the God man. So a Christian understands who Jesus is, understands what Jesus came to do. Die on the cross for our sins. To give his life a ransom for many. Yes. He healed the sick, yes. He raised the dead. Yes. He fed the multitudes, yes. He cast out demons. But that's not the purpose of his coming. The purpose of his coming was to give his life and to be a ransom for many to die on the cross for your sins and my sins and, and to make a way for us to go to heaven, to rise again on the third day. And so a Christian understands who Jesus is, understands what Jesus came to do, and understands that Jesus is the only way. He is the only ark of safety. And false prophets will tell you there are many ways to God. Oprah Winfrey will tell you there's many ways to God. James Tallarico will tell you there are many ways to God. Those people are doing the work of the devil. They are deceived. Evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Second Timothy, chapter three, verse, 12 or verse 13. And so these people are doing the work of the devil. They're disguising themselves as angels of light. Second Corinthians, chapter 11 tells us that that's just how Satan does it. And so his servants disguised themselves as angels of light. So this is what James Talarico had to say, concerning, you know, his religious affiliation and experience.
James Talarico I'm m always so, so thrilled. I get invited, you know, to the Diwali festival. I think I've gone two years in a row now. and you know, also, have gotten a chance to speak at some of our local mosques. And I find such wisdom and comfort and inspiration from faith traditions all over the world. and I find that they're all kind of, equal pathways to truth,
Pastor Jeff Schreve you know, that they're not. They're not equal pathways to truth. You don't find comfort in the devil's lies. He does, because he doesn't understand the truth.
James Talarico I think. You know, I always think of all of the world state traditions as like a circle with, you know, that. That divine mystery of the universe in the middle. And we all have different names for that mystery, right? Whether it's God or Yahweh or Allah or, nirvana, the Great Spirit, whatever you call it, this is all, you know, different pathways to the same kind of fundamental truth of reality. So, yeah, it's something I. It's, how I try to stay grounded and stay rooted.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, he's not grounded. He's grounded in lies. that's not a Christian. And so, hey, he's free to believe anything he wants. But quit calling yourself a Christian, because that is not a Christian. If you believe there are many paths to God, and it's just all, you know, God is just this big ball of mush. You can call him whatever you want to call him. and, you can come any way you want. I can go through Islam, I can go through Hinduism. I can go through Buddhism. I can go through atheism. I mean, we all just end up in the same place, because we're all just, you know, at the heart of who we are. We're just good people. That's exactly the opposite of what the Bible says. the very heart of man is wicked exceedingly. And, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And the wages of sin is death. And God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God had Noah, make an ark, this giant vessel that had room for many, many people. He made that so that people should not perish but have life. Yet they didn't go on the ark other than Noah, Mrs. Noah, Ham, Shem, Japheth, and their respective wives. Eight people were saved along with the animals. Well, one of the things, that you'll find, too, with these, guys that, you know, want to be elected and want to present themselves as, you know, I'm. I'm Opie Taylor. I'm Richie Cunningham. I just have this, clean cut image. And this other candidate is just so horrible. How could anybody vote for this horrible candidate when you have a candidate like me? you know, how could you let anybody other than Judas Iscariot, control the money bag? Because he's just so upstanding and just so faithful and just so righteous, and he's a thief and he's the devil. Did I not choose you, the 12, yet one of you is a devil? Jesus said, and he was speaking of Judas Iscariot. But one of the things you hear, especially from James Talarico, is that, you know, there are two commandments, two commands in the Bible to love God and to love people. Love your neighbor as yourself. And we're the party that loves our neighbor. And the Republicans are those mean people that want to kick people off Medicare and, take people's, free college and free food and all these freebies away from them. You know, they shut down usaid. As Elon Musk, who looked at all the numbers and said, we thought we were going to pull out a worm from an apple. And he said, there's no apple. It's just a worm. The whole thing is rotten. I, love what, Rod Martin said last week on Real Truth for today. He said, you know, in the church, most churches, they have a benevolence ministry, and they're going to help people, in their church who are in need. They can't help the whole city because they don't have the resources to do that, and they're not going to help scammers. You're being a poor steward, and that's being kind. If you just give money away to people who are scamming you, what do we see in Minnesota? They give money away to scammers. They know they're scammers, and they still give money away to them. Tim Walls knew that, there was fraud taking place in his state, and, and he took the brakes off, said, no, we're not shutting this down. We're going to keep it going because, you know, so what if 90% are scammers but 10% are good? We want to help those 10%. Well, that is idiotic. Good, leadership says, we're going to look at this and we're going to make sure these people are legit. Our church, when we help people, we don't just throw out money like it's trick or treat candy. We want to make sure this is legit. We want to help legit people. We don't want to enable people to continue to game the system. And, we help people who cannot help themselves, not people who will not help themselves. So loving your neighbor, don't get confused on that. loving your neighbor obviously means caring for your neighbor. As Jesus was asked the question, and who is my neighbor? when the man said in Luke 10, you know, what is the greatest commandment in the law? And Jesus said, what does it say to you? And the man answered correctly, love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said, you've answered correctly. Do this and you'll live. And wishing to justify himself. And he said, who is my neighbor? And then Jesus tells about the Good Samaritan. Now, the Good Samaritan is on you and me as individuals. It's not on government. it's not the job of the government to care for every single person. That's the job of individuals. That's the job of the people of God to care for other people. And, the Bible has a lot to say about personal responsibility. And the Bible, as I preached Sunday about the role of government, Romans 13, the Bible has a lot to say about what government is supposed to do. And government, the chief function of government is law and order. And to punish evildoers. Says for rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same. Nick Sherley got $10,000 from President Trump because he was exposing fraud. He, got praise from his government for doing what was right. Then it goes on to say that government is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do it as evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword for nothing. It is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. That's what government is supposed to do, principally, chiefly, that's what they're supposed to do. And that is loving to the masses. Protecting those who obey the moral laws of the land is a, loving thing to do. Not protecting people is an evil thing to do. Letting millions and millions and millions of people come into the country illegally without vetting these people is an evil thing to do. That is hating your neighbor. That is not loving your neighbor. lying to people about this thing called socialism, that is not loving your neighbor. That is hating your neighbor. That is going to destroy your neighbor. Now, one of my new favorite guys is a man named, Dominic Tarzinski. He's from the Law and Justice Party of Poland. it's a conservative, group in Poland, and he has been on Piers Morgan and other programs talking about what's going on In Poland. You know, Poland doesn't have the trouble that we see in other cities because Poland has said no to Muslim immigration. And this is why he has said
Jeff Chamblee that you are a Polish member of the European Parliament, and you've actually come here to America on a bit of a mission. So kind of give me your background and what it is that you're trying to do here in the U.S. i
Dominik Tarczyński was born in Poland, eastern Poland, in 1979. It's important because that was the communist times. I remember that President Reagan and Jon Paul ii, these two giants, freed Poland from communism. But I can see communism coming back, and I can see that America needs. There's a need for fight. I mean, honest fight. And, my presence here, first of all, is my way to pay respect for freedom. And this is very, very personal to me, as a person who grew up under communism. Yeah, I was seven years old when my mom asked me to queue for shoes for all night. There was no food.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Cue for shoes means stand in line for shoes.
Dominik Tarczyński There was no nothing to buy. I know what communism is. So I'm trying to take action. Not to be observant, but I want to be a fighter, go out to the people, try to explain how evil communism is. They call themselves socialists. They call themselves social democrats. They are communists. And now I can hear from Bernie Sanders or AOC about socialism and equality. Yeah, everyone was equal in Poland. Everyone was equally hungry in the same way.
Pastor Jeff Schreve That's, socialism equally hungry. Now he goes on as we're going to play some clips in the next segment with Piers Morgan talking about how you don't let people into your country who want to fundamentally change it. And by that, he means the Muslims. Well, you're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. When we come back from. We'll take your calls. 888-589-8840. Triple 888-589-8840. Give me a call.
Jeff Chamblee If you'd like to contact Pastor Jeff, email pastor jeffromhishheart.org now back to Real Truth for today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here, we've been talking about, being faithful. We've been talking about being faithful to speak the truth in love and. And to stand up and to fight. Not physically, but to fight, as the song says. And when I fight, I fight on my knees to fight for America, to fight for freedom, to really love people. We, care for people, and we, vote for leaders in government who will Protect people who will do the job of government as God outlines in Romans chapter 13. And so, we do not want to vote for people that are going to be sympathetic or, pro socialism. That is death to America. We don't want to vote for people that will be sympathetic or pro Islam. That is death to America. As we see in, France, in Germany, in Italy, those chickens have come home to roost. Now, I mentioned about Dominic Tarzinski, the, Law and Justice Party member, of European Parliament, there in Poland. And this is what he had to say. He had a very, combative exchange with Piers Morgan last week. But I like what he had to say, and he was just speaking the truth. Now, he's bluntly speaking the truth, but I like a guy who's a straight shooter. Here is the back and forth. I'll play. It's fairly long, but I'll play some of it, and then we'll go to your calls. 888-589-8840. That's triple. 858-98840.
Piers Morgan What is your view, then, of what you think is happening in Paris?
Dominik Tarczyński There are violent, vicious people who should be arrested and jailed. I'd like to ask you, how many mosques were destroyed during these riots in Paris? Do you know?
Piers Morgan I don't know.
Dominik Tarczyński None. And how many churches? Many. So if you don't know. If you're asking me what I think, I think that second and third generation of people who hates Christian, values, Christian culture, Roman law, Greek philosophy, they want to destroy Europe. And this is what we see.
Piers Morgan What percentage do you think of the rioters then were, as you would put it, Islamists?
Dominik Tarczyński Doesn't matter. Even if there would be, one shouldn't be there.
Piers Morgan Okay, what about. But what about the others?
Dominik Tarczyński So you wouldn't.
Piers Morgan Just to be clear, then, just to be clear, I want to be clear again about your position. You would not allow any Muslim immigrants into France. Say you would stop all of them. No, of course not.
Dominik Tarczyński None.
Piers Morgan None.
Dominik Tarczyński No. Islam is not compatible with the Western value.
Piers Morgan Okay, so, basically, you would like all Muslims banned from every European country.
Caroline Country.
Dominik Tarczyński Well, I don't care about any other European country. I don't want them in Poland. They're not capable with.
Piers Morgan What about France? What about France? Or England?
Dominik Tarczyński France is done. France, it's fallen. It's done. It's too late.
Piers Morgan You think England's fallen?
Dominik Tarczyński Yes.
Piers Morgan Really? What do you base it on? Because you lived here for five years. You were an immigrant, ironically, to my.
Dominik Tarczyński And I paid and I Paid my taxes and I didn't burn anything.
Piers Morgan I have no problem with you having been here, but what you base the fact on my country having fallen on because I live here. I have a perfectly nice life, thank you.
Dominik Tarczyński Well, yes, you're doing good with your finances, but most of the people are not doing good. Many people are arrested for praying on the streets. People are arrested for posts on Facebook.
Piers Morgan If you were a British politician, you'd be calling for all Muslims to be banned.
Dominik Tarczyński Yes.
Piers Morgan Okay. And the same in France.
Dominik Tarczyński Yes.
Piers Morgan And the same in Germany.
Dominik Tarczyński Well, until, Europeans, until, Christians will not be able to build churches and cathedrals in Qatar, there should not be any mosques in Europe.
Piers Morgan Okay, so you would basically ban all the Muslims.
Dominik Tarczyński Yes.
Piers Morgan Okay. Which makes you just an unbelievable bigot, doesn't it?
Dominik Tarczyński Well, it's better be bigot but alive than sold out to Qataris and jihadists. That's what I.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Better to be a bigot than, to be dead. is basically what he's saying now. He's not a bigot. He just knows. He's just being, honest with the facts. That you can't let people into your country who are fundamentally against your country, who want to fundamentally change your country. You don't let people into your country who burn the flag and then say, death to your country. That's what we do in America. That's ridiculous. Death to America in Dearborn, Michigan, as they burn the flag and we say, well, yeah, that's okay because that's free speech. Well, that may be free speech, but that person can't stay here that wants to destroy. If they tell you, hey, we're going to destroy the country, you would be an idiot to say, oh, okay, well that's good. Well, you have the right to do that. No, you don't have the right to do that. You don't have the right to yell fire in a crowded movie theater. There are certain things that, if you say you're going to do that, you can't do that.
Dominik Tarczyński Why?
Pastor Jeff Schreve Because that affects the quality of life and the welfare of every other person who lives here. And so, the people who hate America, the people who are the death to America crowd, they need to be ushered out of America. Okay, well, go someplace where you don't hate the country. it was Charlie Kirk that said the greatness of America is that all these people who hate America don't ever leave. obviously, if you've ever traveled abroad, you know how great America is. And when you saw the people Come for the World cup soccer championship. And people who had just watched the news and thought America is the worst place in the world because I watched the news and that's what they tell me on the BBC and all these other national news program. Mainstream m Legacy media tells me America is terrible. And then they come here and they say this place is wonderful and they love it. And so, you know, do not judge according to appearance sake, Jesus said, but judge with righteous judgment. And don't be so foolish to think that, you know, it's being loving to let all these people in here who want to rape and pillage and fundamentally change the country and turn it into a Muslim country. That's not being loving to your neighbor, that's destroying your neighbor. That is being hateful and evil to your neighbor and letting in millions and millions and millions of people that we don't know, boo about. That is not being loving. That's being totally idiotic. And that's what we've done in America. Well, we're going to the phone lines 888-589-8840 and we have David on the line from Virginia. David, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Good morning, sir.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Good morning.
Caroline this, past Friday, we were out to dinner with some friends and the topic of the Lord came up and m. I was, telling some friends about the movie, the God who speaks, and then how the, you know, the topic of the Lord can go in many different directions. somebody brought up dinosaurs. And I said, somewhere in the conversation I said, well, the, you know, Bible scholars say the earth is only 6,000 to 10,000 years old. And it kind of got quiet. Eyebrows were raised because I guess everybody thinks the world is millions of years old. And then, you know, I didn't have a good answer. Like, I know that in, I think it's job, the word leviathan is used, but I mean, you know, this is, like, what would you say if somebody brought up dinosaurs?
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, I think there were dinosaurs on the ark. They don't have to be full grown to be on the ark. You can have babies of all these things, you know, little ones of all these things that were on the ark. I think it's very plausible that animals on the ark were in hibernation. And so it wasn't like, you know, I'm going to be on the ark for a year. And now I do think Noah took a lot of food and water. He had to. But, yeah, the dinosaurs died out after the flood because the Environment had changed and they weren't able to adapt. But here's the argument, as far as a young earth goes, based on the Bible and the Bible alone. The Bible gives us dates for how long people lived. you wouldn't come up with millions of years or billions of years. It doesn't give you that. And it really doesn't give you the place for that because. And Ken Ham points this out, he's strong on this. you didn't have death until sin entered the world. So this idea, you know, the evolutionist needs lots of time for, their theory to work, which, it's a mathematical impossibility for all the things to become so complex. from something that is, you know, out of nothing, you don't get everything. But, you would never, never, never get that from the Bible that it's, that it's more than the years we are given. So here's the argument. God can make the world, he can speak it into existence as he did, and it's mature. And, you know, just like when he made Adam in Genesis chapter two, and he makes, or Genesis one makes man according to his own image. And Genesis two gives us the fuller picture of making Adam and making Eve. Well, they're not infants. They're full grown mature people. And so God, how old are they? How old is Adam in Genesis chapter two? He's one day old, less than one day. It's the first day of his life. But if you looked at him, you would say, well, that guy, he's 30 years old. he looks older. So the earth, as I had a geology professor at the University of Texas tell me one time, and he was, we were talking about evolution and he said, well, one thing is sure, if the Earth is not very old, it certainly looks old. And that is true, it does look old. And so you can't date it because it was created. Boom. And here it is. Well, that can't be one day old because it would take longer than that for that to happen. But not with God. So I appreciate you standing up for the truth when you do that, David, people look at you like you are Neanderthal. And, to quote Adrian Rogers, you have room to rent upstairs unfurnished. you're an idiot if you don't get on board with science. Even William Laine Craig has caved on that. And he said, well, I'm going to go with the scientists. And a guy like Ken Ham, he's willing to stand alone and say, well, I'm going to go with God. Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar. And God's word does not indicate you would never get from God's word that the world is older than 6,000 or so years. So I appreciate you standing up for the truth, David. Thanks for the call. We have Anita on the line from Arkansas. Anita, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Yes, hello, Brother Chad. Can you hear me okay over my vehicle's phone or boy, I've got it hooked up or do I need to disconnect?
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, you're okay, go ahead.
Caroline Okay, well, she said something about turning down the radio, so really what I wanted to. One thing I wanted to comment on speaking to what you said about being kind to people. And I'm all for that. Honestly. I do want to give a little scenario. I spent many years and still do in a little country church and my dad basically was, was over that, that little church. Or actually kind of a scenario to that was a man that would come. Of course we were willing to give to those in need and we, he did. But then when they would want to come back, he offered him you know, a job to like, you know, mow the church and you know, do things like that. Well, he wouldn't do that. He never came back again. That was one thing I wanted to comment on there. So the other thing is our little church was known to give a lot. We, we weren't a huge congregation, but we had a lot of fathers and, and we had a little money that we could help if someone's home burned or you know, that type of thing. So it, it wasn't about selfishness at all. But you know, it is important to encourage people to come out of a certain state and be more self reliant. So I did want to comment on that as well. And where the immigration thing is, I do believe open borders is extremely dangerous for our country. I'm not against people coming into our country, you know, from other countries. If they do it the right way,
Pastor Jeff Schreve they need to do it the right way and they need to be vetted and they need to be people that will get into the melting pot pot and want to be Americans. If you want to bring your own ideology and your own way of doing things and you want to import, my culture into your city and I want my culture to dominate your city. That's what we see with Muslims. They don't integrate, they come to take over, they come to bring Sharia law. And that's just wrong. You can't come here to do that. So I appreciate the, the call, Anita. And those are good, illustrations. Yeah. We help those who can't help themselves, not those who won't help themselves. And, to be a good steward of the resources God has given you individually or nationally, you have to do the checks and balances on that. And to make sure this is legit, this is a legit need and not just somebody gaming the system. We have Paul on the line from Texas. Paul, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Yes, first, my personal thanks for that quote from James talarico. Nothing says 100% fake Christian when you are, touting the many paths. And Jesus is just another fine suggestion. Serving on the buffet line of, you know, what I call the church of Oprah.
Jeff Chamblee Right?
Caroline You take a little of this, take a little of that. and then pointing out the obvious with Piers Morgan, notice how when the man from, Poland, when he was confronted about, you know, well, you came here, and he says, yeah, but I didn't burn anything down. I didn't do this. He absolutely had to over talk him and shout him down so then he could get his little, you know, woke head pat, like, you know, call him a bigot and so on. Right. But he raises an excellent point. Immigration should be up, principle of equality, and the same, demands that are made on Christians in the countries that are supporting these people should be upheld in the United States. I've always been a believer in that.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Thank you, Paul. I appreciate the call. We're out of time, but I appreciate your comments. Thanks for listening to the program. Hey, go out today. Shine and share, and let the world know that Jesus Christ is lord of all. I'm Pastor Jeff Schrieve. I'll be with you again tomorrow here on American Family Radio. God bless.

God bless.
Jeff Chamblee The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the American Family association or American Family Radio.
Pastor Jeff Schreve turns to Noah, the “preacher of righteousness,” to explore why obedience matters even when the results are hard to see. The conversation then turns to public life: voting, the role of government, personal responsibility, religious freedom, immigration, and concerns about socialism and cultural change.
